Bridestowe Lavender Farm in northern Tasmania Bridestowe is a very special place in Northern Tasmania, great cafe, purple bear videos to keep children and even us amused, and walks through lavender. Look at:  https://bridestowelavender.com.au/ for information. A great day out if you live locally.   On Saturday we wen to be awe struck by the sky that got more amazing by the minute. The above is a photograph taken with an old 50mm Pentax A lens that I picked up in a sale job lot. I combined 5 shots to give the wider expanse you see above with On 1 Raw. A lonely bush emphasized the racing sky, and in monochrome it brings out the composition.   The sculptures enhance the walk about the paddock with lavender at any time of the year and especially when there is this unique sky. There are large English oaks in the farm and in Australia they always grow into magnificent shapes in shorter time than in the UK.

Yes there is even a Ben Nevis in the range. Reflections in windows always makes an interesting subject. This shot of the old mill reflects the earlier days of the cit...
